By pairing our proven safari platform with a Benchmark stainless steel match grade barrel, we've created a rifle that is well balanced and dependable. Your build is unique to you, so we will select the optimum barrel contour, length, and twist rate to best suit your needs.
Our experienced machinists will thread and chamber your barrel specifically for your action, resulting in the best tolerances achievable.

We do your barrel break-in and test accuracy with factory ammunition that is readily available. Every one of these rifles is guaranteed to shoot 1/2” groups at 100 yards with factory hunting ammunition. Our accuracy is not only guaranteed, it is verified. Every aspect of your rifle's performance will be tested and proven. We will shoot the rifle from a bag rest to test and verify proper feeding, extraction, ejection and accuracy. You will receive the final targets and ammunition data with your rifle. Ready for the hunt as soon as you are.

DG-RDS FOR THE RIFLE YOU ALREADY HAVE
Great news! Our innovative Dangerous Game Red Dot Sight is now available for your rifle! Hill Country Rifles is now offering our patent pending DGRDS for certain rifle models.
Installation requires solder and screws which will damage your current metal finish. Thus, the service can be done in one of the following ways:
Option 1: We will provide, install and sight in our DGRDS on your rifle and apply a new Cerakote finish to your barrel and receiver: $1599
Option 2: We will provide, install and sight in our DGRDS on your rifle and apply a new Cerakote finish to your complete rifle: $1899
Factory sights that are screwed onto the barrel will be removed and visible holes will be plugged. In the case of barrel banded front sights, only the rear sight will be removed.
We currently offer our DGRDS on the following factory makes and models only:
- Winchester Safari Express
- Ruger Hawkeye and 77 Mark II Guid Gun (375 Ruger and 416 Ruger)
