At the heart of every Pathfinder is the Defiance Classic action, the foundation we trust for repeatable accuracy and smooth, reliable cycling. Known for its tight tolerances and consistent lock-up, the Classic action gives us a true blueprint to build from, ensuring every rifle that leaves our shop performs the same way, round after round.

We pair that action with a Manners PH stock featuring an integral ARCA rail and bipod rail, giving you a stable, adaptable platform whether you're shooting off a bag, a bipod, or a tripod in the field. The PH stock was designed with backcountry hunters in mind, so you get a lightweight, weatherproof layup that won't let you down when conditions get rough. Having the ARCA and bipod rails built directly into the stock means one less thing to bolt on or adjust, so you can spend more time behind the rifle and less time fighting with accessories

Topping it off is a Proof Research carbon fiber pre-fit barrel, a smart engineering choice that keeps weight down while also helping us deliver the Pathfinder at a more achievable price point. Because pre-fit barrels are machined to specs ahead of time, they require less hand-fitting labor in our shop, savings we pass directly on to you without touching the quality of materials or craftsmanship. You still get the same performance Proof Research is known for, along with the weight savings that make a noticeable difference on long hikes into your hunting spot. Barrel length is determined by caliber, ensuring each Pathfinder is optimized to get the most performance out of the cartridge you choose.

Just like our custom rifles, we do your barrel break-in and test accuracy with factory ammunition that is readily available. Every one of these rifles is guaranteed to shoot 1/2” groups at 100 yards with factory hunting ammunition. Our accuracy is not only guaranteed, it is verified. Every aspect of your rifle's performance will be tested and proven. We will shoot the rifle from a bag rest to test and verify proper feeding, extraction, ejection and accuracy. You will receive the final targets and ammunition data with your rifle. Ready for the hunt as soon as you are.
