After building custom rifles for almost 30 years, we decided to offer a few Hunt Ready packages so if you’ve got a hunt coming up soon, we have rifles ready to go today! These packages include rifles from our Full Custom Series that are then paired with an optic that we think fits the build the best. Then, we perform barrel break-in and chronograph the factory ammo the rifle shoots best. Finally, we order and install a custom scope turret in yardage increments specific to that ammunition. Each build is sighted-in, custom turret installed, and ready to ship today!
Not everyone is looking for a long-range hunting rifle in a tactical style stock. Our Traditional rifle is built in the classic style, with Monte Carlo or Straight Comb Cheek Piece, slender forearm, and a normal grip shape. The comb height of the stock is ideal for traditional scope mounts using a low to medium 1” ring, or a low 30mm ring. We do not recommend mounting on a picatinny rail as this puts the scope too high for comfortable cheek weld and scope acquisition.
The Defiance action features a one-piece bolt construction with deep spiral flutes and very open “Sheep Hunter” loading and ejection port. The port design reduces action weight and makes it very easy to load cartridges into the rifle, even in gloved hands.
We apply our one-to-one aluminum pillar and glass bedding system to the action. Our bedding system does not utilize a generic bedding block or chassis. Instead, we machine individual bedding pillars that match the radius of your action and full-length glass bed the receiver and recoil lug for a perfectly mated fit between your stock and action. We then bed the bottom metal so it is exactly square to the receiver. We precisely thread and chamber a Lilja or Benchmark Match-Grade Stainless Steel barrel. Fluted or Non-Fluted barrels and Muzzle brakes and threading for suppressors are available. All metal is coated in our tough Cerakote finish in the color of your choice.
Every one of these rifles is guaranteed to shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards with factory hunting ammunition. Our accuracy is not only guaranteed, it is verified. Every aspect of your rifle's performance will be tested and proven. We will shoot the rifle from a bag rest to test and verify proper feeding, extraction, ejection and accuracy. You will receive the final targets and ammunition data.
